Okay Hugging Face just launched Microduck, an open source robot for $399.

25 cm. 15 motors. Walks, picks things up, roller-skates, gets back on its feet after a fall.

Here is why it is open source.

The entire training stack is on GitHub. You train a move in simulation on your laptop. Export it. Load it on the duck. It does the thing.

Every skill is a file. Walking is a file. Roller-skating is a file. 7 ship in the box. Teach it something new, publish it, now every duck in the world can do it.

Someone just built a way to send files between two phones with no WiFi, no Bluetooth, and no network at all. Just a screen and a camera.

One phone flashes QR codes. The other points its camera at the screen and rebuilds the file from the light. No pairing. No app. No shared network.

129 KB/s. A 2MB image transfers in seconds.

Every QR code isn't a piece of the file it's a scrambled mix of the entire file using fountain codes. Drop frames? Doesn't matter. Collect enough in any order and the file reconstructs itself.

He was building an MP3 player because he was sick of streaming ads. Wanted phone-to-phone transfer without both being on the same network. Built the whole thing in one night with Claude Code.

I was not getting the time to shift all my invoice process to zoho. I reached out to claude cowork to help me with the invoice system setup. After 10 mins of promoting, now I have a self hosted invoice app which takes in my expenses and shares a CSV report to my accountant. 🚀
