Abuja's original master plan reserved roughly one-third of the city as green and open space for urban function: managing runoff, moderating heat, and maintaining environmental stability.
As these areas are converted into concrete developments, that balance is being eroded. The risk is not theoretical.
More impermeable surfaces mean poorer drainage efficiency, higher surface temperatures, and increased pressure on already limited urban infrastructure".
Welcome to September, the ninth month! May this month bring to completion the good things God has begun in your life. May your prayers receive answers, your hopes be renewed, and your waiting turn into joyful testimonies. May the Lord bless you, guide you, and grant you reasons to be grateful. Happy New Month🙏🏽
After this life, please don’t involve me in any other life. When I die, I simply want to cease to exist. No reincarnation, no afterlife, just let me rest in nothingness.
I’m lowkey avoidant because instead of communicating clearly like this, I will accept the gift and detach all gift expectations from that person till I die. If dem like, give me nzu for my next birthday, I use am rub body my love 🙏🏽
I hate disappointment so I won’t appoint myself in the first place
When you let God be your vindicator, He’ll take care of who’s trying to stop you. He’ll deal with the disrespect, the jealousy, the people who are doing you wrong. Don’t fight battles that don’t matter.
I’ve been reflecting lately, and I know I need to do better as a friend.
To check in more. To listen more intentionally. To celebrate my people loudly and show up even when it’s not convenient.
For almost 3 years, we’ve walked this 365-day prayer journey together.
We’ve prayed, healed, grown, and built consistency in God’s presence.
Many of you asked that we don’t stop… and I heard you.
As we countdown to the 2026 book, we’ll be revisiting these prayers..not as repetition, but as reminders.
Seeing Nigerians complain about Detty December and the greediness of business owners can only make me laugh a little, because I’m certain we went through the exact same thing some years ago.
The commercialization of Christmas will always end this way.
Before “Detty December” became a term, Christmas in Ghana was always lit, because it was organic.
It wasn’t forced. It was built on vibes, family, community, and fun. Everyone knew December was when you travelled home, reconnected, rested, and enjoyed yourself.
The moment Christmas became a product instead of a season, everything changed.
When the focus shifts solely to how much money December can generate, the experience suffers. Ridiculous prices, blatant money grabs, and zero consideration for locals will always kill the joy. You can’t center profit over people and expect the magic to remain.
