HOMER CITY, Pennsylvania — Eighteen months ago, Shawn Steffee stood in a field in Indiana County and watched the smokestacks of Pennsylvania’s largest coal-fired power plant fold into a cloud of dust, then told anyone who would listen that the wreckage was not a funeral.

“This isn’t the end, this is the beginning,” said the business agent for Boilermakers Local 154.
This Labor Day, that prediction is unfolding.

Homer City Generation announced Friday morning that more than 1,800 direct-hire tradespeople and skilled contractors are currently working at the site of the largest natural gas-powered plant currently under construction in the United States.

Those workers are from nine local union organizations. Roughly 95% of them are local.

They are boilermakers, carpenters, electricians, ironworkers, laborers, millwrights, operators, pipefitters, and teamsters all the same trades that their fathers worked when the coal plant ran three shifts here. That is why I am introducing legislation to establish reasonable safeguards governing the use, retention, access, and sharing of ALPR data in Pennsylvania.

Public safety should not require Pennsylvanians to surrender their constitutional liberties. We can give law enforcement effective tools while ensuring that innocent citizens are protected from unnecessary surveillance and misuse of their information.

Our Founding Fathers didn’t promise ‘a
Perfect Union’, but promised to pursue ‘a more perfect union, with its checks and balances put in place to make it most difficult for any one person or party to co-opt enough power to bring tyranny to their new invention.

It’s still working, though the looney Leftist whiners and their not so new fixation with the not so new communism restoration project, which attempts to do the only thing socialism is capable of doing, getting the most despicable of complainers to revolt against a system that actually works and improves the lives of the average working citizen.

Since the commie dipshit has nothing to offer to society, they must feed from the trough of their own self made misery of ignorance and chosen failures.

They complain and tear away at the very fabric that gave them their freedom to complain so safely from government reprisal in the first place.

So it must irk them, like any happy successful person does, that our international friends are loving what they hate most…

America the beautiful, home of the brave and land of the Free!

It is my sincere hope that these malcontent forever adolescents with their ungrateful narcissism and bad breath and interesting choice of a system that caused the deaths of over 100,000,000 human beings over our last century, come to their senses and end their inner and outer ugliness and embrace the gift of Freedom that so many Americans fought and spilled their blood for.

But if they don’t, I take solace in the smiles and joy that our new international lovers of our America are soaking up.

I take even more solace that we have the Second Amendment just in case these dipshits try to force their brand of unhappy ignorance on the rest of us.

I gently remind them, though they may have up to 95 percent of the University faculty, and 100 percent of the trans gender affirming child surgically mutilating boys in girls sports community, we have the Army, Navy, National Guard, Air Force, Police and Fire Departments.

Was it just me, or did Barack Obama seem very passive-aggressive while lecturing us on how the Founders "fell short?" And I love how he threw in that the Founders only let "white men who owned property" vote. Because it proves that he has NO IDEA what he's talking about.

The Founders didn't care about your gender. They cared if you had a stake in the game. If you owned property, you could vote, no matter your gender. Honestly, we should bring that logic back—if you aren't paying taxes, why should you get a vote on how everyone else's money is spent?
