Message from BMC :

👉🏼 The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has issued guidelines regarding pet and stray animals for owners, citizens who feed them, and various organizations.

👉🏼 It is mandatory to follow the terms and conditions related to pet licenses.

Harassing citizens who feed stray dogs and cats (community animals) is a punishable offense. Additionally, the BMC clarifies that it is mandatory to pay the prescribed tax for pet dogs to the municipal corporation and to follow the rules and conditions related to pet licenses.

In accordance with the directives of the Hon’ble Supreme Court and the Animal Welfare Board of India, the BMC has issued guidelines for pet owners, citizens who feed animals, and various organizations regarding pets and stray animals.
