1969.
A Pakistani architect built a dome 212 feet wide in Karachi with no central pillars.
Engineers said it was barely possible.
He built it anyway.
Masjid-e-Tooba. DHA Karachi. Designed by Dr. Babar Hamid Chauhan. One of the world's largest single-dome structures without internal support.
No pillars. The entire dome resting on a circular low wall at its base. 212 feet across. 51 feet tall. Pure white marble on the outside. Thousands of pieces of mirror glass covering the ceiling inside.
70,000 man-hours of labour for the dome alone.
But the detail that stops everyone cold is the acoustics.
Masjid-e-Tooba was designed so precisely that sound travels around the circular walls the way it does in the world's greatest performance halls. A whisper at one end of the prayer hall can be heard clearly at the other.
A mosque as acoustically perfect as a concert hall.
Built in Karachi. By a Pakistani architect. In 1969. Without modern computational engineering tools.
57 years later the dome still stands. Still holds Friday prayers. Still leaves every visitor speechless.
Pakistan built this.
Karachi Owns this.
The world just never looked.
Pakistan Zindabad. 🇵🇰
Look how Palestinians are getting their hostages back, and then compare that to how the Zionists received theirs.
They flourish on humiliating and torturing Palestinians.
Israeli hostages will return to champagne, homes, the hugs of family, and feasts.
Palestinian hostages will return to dirty water, rubble, dead family, and famine.

Our prisoners also have families, children, homes, and dreams.
Welcome home.
Still more than 10,000 captives are unlawfully held by Israel. Call for their release.
They kicked me out of the Knesset just for raising the simplest demand, one that the whole international community agrees on:
Recognize the State of Palestine!
Recognize the simple truth:
There are two peoples here, and no one is going anywhere.
20 Israeli hostages to be released and it’s headline news all over the world
2,000 Palestinians are being release —many of whom were taken off the streets with no charge and beaten and terrorized in captivity, and nothing about them!
That’s because in the West, only Israeli lives matter!
The lack of pressure on Israel to release the thousands of Palestinian hostages (including CHILDREN) says a lot about what Peace that lays ahead, for the Palestinians.
There cannot be peace without justice, human rights and dignity of ALL.
Palestinian lives matter.
