@MumofFatCassie I live in my Birkenstocks - Arizona in summer, Boston in winter. Cost per wear makes them absolutely worth the price. I always get the soft footbed ones - again, well worth the extra expense. You did very well to find yours in Pavers!
#Corrie has been woven into the fabric of my life, I could never imagine I would stop watching it. Now it’s a chore, no longer a comfort, a delight or a distraction. And it’s so self-congratulatory and blind to the criticisms of people who love and respect what it once was.
@BroadhurstBooks This is so very sad. Such happy memories of books wrapped with care in brown paper and string, and the open fire lit even on a summer’s day. Generations of Sandgrounders have been educated and entertained thanks to this wonderful bookshop.
@CrimeGirI Meant to be wallpaper or similar but we used posters from magazines. I backed Jane Eyre with a poster of Barry Gibb, and my English mistress said she didn’t imagine Mr Rochester looking like that.
@welshjaci@itvcorrie Toyah’s rape and its aftermath were shown relatively recently on ITV3 Classic Corrie. It was portrayed realistically and sensitively, and to retcon the story sensationally for ratings is an insult to viewers and to the character of Toyah.
