@open_erv I am not discounting that it is a cost not all can afford, and it really should not be on the individual to bear the burden alone. But it's not necessary to inflate the costs by assuming single use.

@open_erv @outdoor_junki3 Reusing masks can significantly reduce costs though, as can swapping to a cheaper but still reliable mask. There have been a lot of discounted 3M Auras available for example. And if you wear a mask 4 times rather than just once, it's a quarter the cost...

@MNisselle @FeralHeather Given the alternative is individual tests, it is still cheaper overall. The downside of any extra time to run individual tests is offset by likelihood of not running individual tests every time...

@singingsox True love means doing your darnedest to stay well so that you can bring me heated blankets, snacks and cold drinks (while wearing an N95 mask). It absolutely does not mean getting sick too so we can both feel crappy together... 🫠

@SMpwrgr @AndrewHewat Vic gov has made a deliberate choice not to enforce their own state-based occupational health and safety laws, which (if properly enforced) would do some very heavy lifting to force improvements to ventilation, wearing of N95 masks etc.

@alixiswriting @suchnerve I notice the difference on really hot (Australian summer) days if it is humid, and when doing heavy work/exercise outdoors, it is a bit less hot and humid inside the mask. I wear an unvalved version in all other situations and don't notice much if any difference.

@pot8um Either oralife peppermint lip treatment (it's lanolin based) or a lanolin nipple cream.
