control. The long answer is more complicated. It’s a gradual acceleration of state surveillance of gender, of manipulating education, and of limiting our rights as human beings. It’s Ron DeSantis furthering his national exposure on sensationalist policies...
@RedLReviews When I see $ amounts spent on things in a way that everyone agrees is too much, and will not generate profit, my mind goes to "The business is a front for something!"
I’m trying to explain why this strain of anti transmasc and anti testosterone ideology is so obviously racialized in ways that might not be easily recognized or explainable at first glance. It’s not coincidence that white Western transfems are the biggest support group for it.
.@CBSDSchools forced a librarian to remove a quote from his door by Holocaust survivor Elie Wiesel: “We must take sides.Neutrality helps the oppressor, never the victim.Silence encourages the tormentor, never the tormented." BC of Policy 321 this isn't considered fair & balanced.
Just heard the horrifying news out of Monterey Park, CA. A whole community wracked by gun violence and death, on what should have been a joyous Lunar New Year celebration.
No motive is yet known. But we must act to end the ability of murderers to take so many lives so brutally.
The world's elite at the Davos forum are enjoying every possible protection from Covid, including PCR testing, air filtration, UVGI light.
Why isn't this being offered to everyone else?
Every school, every workplace should have the same protections as the rich and powerful.
@aaronsw@paulg@ycombinator@FreeLawProject@lessig In an era where truth has jumped from that which frees us to a four-letter word to an amorphous concept, we need more of the pursuit of truth, not less.
It’s not a weapon.
It’s not a liability.
It’s not binary.
It’s progress; and progress shouldn’t be closed.
@notzeahaa Listen, Mindy deserves these critiques for sure (loved your article btw). But she isn’t a writer on Velma. It’s high key annoying that she’s like the only South Asian woman in Hollywood that’s getting big opportunities and is now wrongfully getting thrown under the bus for Velma
@dearnonnatives I like forearms and hands with dexterous fingers. As for the pic, Sophie is a disability advocate I follow on iG and I think she's amazing.
@WylieGuide Sophie, the disability advocate in your picture, IS attractive. I follow her on IG. She's smart, funny, beautiful, body positive, and shares insight into wheelchair accessibility when she travels. She's awesome.

@elektrotal Hygiene is part of the curriculum, but am the only teacher that I know who actually brushes her teeth in the classroom to demonstrate. Other suggestions welcome.
@elektrotal Done. I'm a grade school teacher in South Africa and our school year starts soon. Will add this to the lesson plans immediately after dehoarding of teaching resources. I often teach basic knowledge because parents can't involve children in doing, as they work hostile hours.
Getting swamped so I am muting this. TL;DR: Stockholm Syndrome is medically not a thing, historically a transparent lie; and socially a tool for avoiding thinking about systemic violence.
Also this is a great book. https://t.co/7V2U68aCzi
the myth of the rarity of disability is upheld by institutions bc it "justifies" how inaccessible and violent the world is to disabled people. but as disabled people gather more visibility and influence online, the incongruence between reality and lies grows bigger.
@FeministaJones "Scrap Metal and Entertainment" LOL, I only lasted to about Season 2-ish. I liked the "Monster of the Week" style over the Conspiracies show.
viral tweets of stranded Southwest customers lashing out and Southwest employees crying had me thinking about how much of our system is set up to shield corporate execs while creating mutual antagonism between “customers” and workers. So I wrote about it
