Sugar lobby/commercial ethanol lobby/ spirit lobby works together for their benefits.

They never talk about excess sugar in Indian product, ethanol in petrol, increasing alcohol consumptions and suicides in rural area because it may impact their sales.

They sale everything produced from sugarcane but they pass larger benefits to farmers.

दहिसरमध्ये भेसळयुक्त दूध विक्रीचा पर्दाफाश

मुंबई गुन्हे शाखेच्या कक्ष-१२ आणि अन्न व औषध प्रशासन (एफडीए) यांच्या संयुक्त कारवाईत दहिसर पूर्व परिसरात मोठ्या प्रमाणावर भेसळयुक्त दूध विक्री करणाऱ्या रॅकेटचा भंडाफोड करण्यात आला.

कारवाईचे तपशील
- भेसळयुक्त दूध : ४७० लिटर दूध जप्त करून जागीच नष्ट करण्यात आले.
- रिकाम्या पिशव्या : ३२७ पिशव्या आणि भेसळीसाठी वापरण्यात येणारे साहित्य जप्त.
- जप्त मुद्देमाल : एकूण किंमत ३९,७५० रुपये.
- अटक केलेला आरोपी : एका व्यक्तीला ताब्यात घेण्यात आले.

भेसळीची पद्धत
कारवाईदरम्यान आरोपी अमूल ताजा, अमूल गोल्ड आणि गोकुळ दूधाच्या मूळ पिशव्या कापून त्यातील काही प्रमाणात दूध बाहेर काढत होता. त्यानंतर अस्वच्छ पाणी मिसळून स्टोव्ह पिन व मेणबत्तीच्या साहाय्याने त्या पिशव्या पुन्हा सील करून मूळ कंपनीचे दूध असल्याचा भास निर्माण केला जात होता.

नागरिकांना आवाहन
जप्त केलेले दूध आरोग्यास अत्यंत घातक असल्याने ते जागीच नष्ट करण्यात आले. प्रशासनाने स्पष्ट केले आहे की अशा भेसळखोरांविरोधात कठोर कारवाई सुरू राहील. नागरिकांनी दूध किंवा इतर अन्नपदार्थांबाबत संशयास्पद प्रकार आढळल्यास तातडीने पोलिस किंवा एफडीएला माहिती देण्याचे आवाहन करण्यात आले आहे.

Extremely alarming:

1872 people have died by suicide in just one district of Kolhapur in Maharashtra in two and a half years.

That's over 60 a month, or two per day.

36% of those suicide victims were aged between 19-35, clearly suggesting economic and employment stress.

Mind you, unlike Marathwada or Vidarbha, Kolhapur didn't dominate the news for suicides.

But now even a traditionally better off district is reporting severe distress.

Sadly, we live in such times that even sharing this data could be termed an insult to Maharashtra.
