DFS is saying "don't strike because of BRICS Meeting on 11.09.2026" - but the irony is *India is the ONLY BRICS nation where bankers don't have 5-day week.

**Brazil**5 days - Mon to Fri
**Russia**5 days - Mon to Fri
**China**5 days - Mon to Fri
**South Africa**5 days - Mon to Fri, few branches Sat half-day
**Egypt, UAE, Ethiopia, Iran, Indonesia**5 days - Sun to Thu / Mon to Fri
**India****6 days** - 1st, 3rd, 5th Saturday working. Only 2nd & 4th Saturday off.

Even inside India - RBI, LIC, Government offices, BSE/NSE all are already on 5-day week.

Instead of deferring the strike for BRICS, this would be the best time to _announce_ 5-day banking and match BRICS standards.

🚨 NO POSITIVE OUTCOME — STRIKE CONTINUES!

The meeting between UFBU and IBA held today ended without any positive outcome on our key demands.

With the issues of 5-Day Banking, discriminatory PLI, and other pending/residual issues remaining unresolved, there is no reason to defer the strike call.

उचित अवसर मिलते ही उन्होंने तत्परता दिखाते हुए युवक को सुरक्षित पकड़कर फ्लाईओवर से दूर कर लिया।

उनकी संवेदनशीलता और त्वरित कार्रवाई से एक अनमोल जीवन बच गया।
