Hi all, now you can find our review on osteosarcopenia in JBMR published by @ASBMR. This is a collaboration with @MiguelGBorda2, @marc_p_sim, and @DrGustavoDuque, and all of us are from countries that advanced to the knockout stage @FIFAWorldCup 2026π
I also tried to draw attention to comorbid diabetes and potentially catabolic medications when we manage osteosarcopenia. Please also see our previous case report: https://t.co/VKs8SZoESr #JDI π

I am proud that I have been involved in three skeletal muscle-specific KO models of osteosarcopenia: Crif1 KO (mitochondria), AR KO (androgen signaling), and Akt1/2 KO (insulin/IGF-1 signaling).
Systemic KO models and GWASs in humans tell us about mechanisms shared by osteoporosis and sarcopenia, whereas tissue-specific KO models tell us about how muscle and bone interact with each other.
In particular, I tried to explore the mechanisms underlying the development of osteosarcopenia by integrating GWAS results in humans and genetically modified mouse models, with 'anabolism' as one of the keywords.
