Starting a pointless trade war with our most reliable partner as a distraction from your failed war in Iran (that you launched as a distraction from your administration covering up the Epstein files) isn’t going to win you any votes.
Proven leaders deliver results. When voters flip the U.S. House this fall, these 26 Brady Endorsed candidates will lead the way to a safer America. We're honored to stand with them in this fight.
This would be a huge scandal for any other president.
A South Korean company challenging Commerce Department trade penalties paid Donald Trump’s holding company $2,000,000 last year.
The payment came from Base Group, the lead investor in Korea Aluminium, which faced penalties after the Commerce Department found that South Korean companies were circumventing trade duties on Chinese-made aluminum. The money surfaced in Trump’s annual financial disclosure released in late June.
The disclosure described it only as a nonrefundable development fee tied to a letter of intent. The Trump Organization says it relates to an unannounced golf course project.
Base Group has courted the Trump family for nearly a decade. It sells Trump-branded wine in South Korea and hosted Eric Trump at its Seoul headquarters in February, where executives discussed expanding trade between the two countries.
As recently as last month, the Commerce Department was weighing whether to raise tariffs further on Korea Aluminium. A preliminary review released last week sided with American aluminum companies. The agency that decides this company’s fate answers to the president. The president took $2,000,000 dollars from its largest investor.
This is one payment. Trump’s holding company collected at least $125,000,000 from foreign sources last year, from more than a dozen countries.
Every president in modern history stepped away from their business to avoid even the appearance of a conflict. This president kept nearly 30 ventures with foreign partners and now profits from companies whose fortunes his own government controls.
This cannot be normalized.
Either we will end the corruption, or the corruption will be the end of us.

Todd Blanche asks: "what's the risk" of having ICE or CBP at polling places?
Generations of Americans — especially people of color — know the answer, since they experienced the history and violence behind these voter suppression tactics.
Statement from Annie Farmer on meeting with Todd Blanche:
"After meeting with Todd Blanche, I feel even more confident in urging senators to vote against his confirmation as the United States' Attorney General.
"I found him abrasive, condescending, and intentionally noncommittal to survivors — a marked contrast to his public testimony during his confirmation hearing.
"While quick to point to the failures of previous administrations, he refused to take accountability for mistakes made under his own leadership. Specifically, he would not commit to an inquiry into why my sister Maria Farmer's 1996 report went uninvestigated; he refused to release documents related to internal discussions about charging Epstein that would provide important clarification about previous errors, and his explanations for his nine-hour interview with Ghislaine Maxwell and her subsequent transfer to a less secure facility were wholly dissatisfactory and contrived.
"His evasiveness felt like a deliberate attempt to claim the Attorney General's office is powerless in this matter. By passing the buck once again, he is leaving survivors trapped in the same endless loop of searching for answers and receiving none."
NEW: RM @RepRaskin, @AOC, and @SenatorLujan introduce legislation to impose a $50 gift ban on Supreme Court Justices, closing a glaring ethics loophole that allows Justices to accept lavish gifts from wealthy individuals with interests before the Court.
Assistant AG Harmeet Dhillon said the Trump administration is working to make AR-15-style rifles legal nationwide.
Assault weapons are often used in America's deadliest mass shootings. Over 60% of Americans support banning these weapons of war.

My parents were both police officers. They taught me what it means to serve your community, and it’s why I joined the Navy and NASA.
Public service is about putting the needs of others before yourself — something a lot of people in Washington have forgotten these days.
Brady PAC is proud to announce our first-ever slate of local endorsements focused on electing survivors, movement leaders, and Team ENOUGH trailblazers to office.

If you were horrified last night watching our elected leaders run and scramble because of gun violence, just imagine how my daughter Jaime felt in school running from an active shooter before she was killed.
Now, becomes a part of the solution and only vote for people determined to address gun violence in America.
Asked his thoughts on whether Ghislaine Maxwell, a convicted child sex trafficker serving 20 years, should be pardoned, Republican Oversight Chairman James Comer said, “A lot of people do.”
Name them, Chairman.
Say out loud which Republicans on your committee or otherwise think a woman who groomed 14 year old girls for Jeffrey Epstein should walk free.
Comer’s other move is to stop holding real hearings so no one can be put under oath and no one can be held in contempt.
Every member of Congress, every parent, every survivor deserves better than floating a pardon for a child sex trafficker and a committee hiding behind roundtables.
This is not oversight. This is a disgrace.
