The fundamental problem is that the education system is irretrievably broken.

Neither does it catalyse critical thinking and much less creativity. Rote learning is still the name of the game.

Till the time you do not encourage pre, primary, middle and high schoolers to think for themselves and incentivise audacity that breaks conformism you will only build a society that will continue to pay obeisance to a feudal order that is both straight jacketed and hierarchiesed

It is only the ability to think and act freely that can break the chains of patriarchalism.

Band -Aid solutions should not do.

That is what Parliament should have discussed today - how to liberate the next generation from the shackles of mental slavery that is intrinsic to the fundamental DNA of India’s education system and by extension it’s social milieu.

When one says they support the two-state solution, what is meant is that they support the creation of an independent, sovereign Palestinian state--as the state of Israel is already there. India's position towards the Palestine question has evolved over the years. But at its core, India has always maintained that it supports the creation of an independent Palestine. Unless the Palestine question is addressed, you are not going to get peace and stability in West Asia. And India's core interests in the region are rooted in stability. Israel, on the other side, wants to continue the occupation and its militarism. netanyahu said even last week that there wouldn't be two states between the 'Sea and Jordan'.
