Dear Prime Minister Ambani,
Please accept my humble apologies for not realizing that you are the real boss of India.
Naturally, you would prefer to maintain your monopolistic exploitation of the great people of India, but would you nonetheless consider allowing Starlink to compete?
There are many areas of India, as there are in all countries, with no Internet access, which denies children the opportunity for education and for small businesses the opportunity to sell their goods to a global market. Starlink would change their lives for the better.
Thank you 🙏
if this is who I’m hearing it is, it’s just so messed up. India went from being a click farm for DAU/MAU to students used as rlhf farm.
middle class parents paying (sometimes even taking a loan) to get their child a degree and the kids are made to do rlhf (for basically free cause the parents paid for the course).
this is so unfortunate thing in 2026.
this is an indian edtech company(not a college) which runs a 4-year industry focussed degree to train the students to the changing "tech" landscape.
students pay 32lakh indian rupees to join the program, they are made to do rlhf work and none of the parents are aware of it.
we posted a job posting and we got bunch of applications from these students. most of them have never build any good project in their life. their whole college is doing rlhf type work.
If your best hires came from @zomato or @letsblinkit that is not luck.
I have taken thousands of interviews in the last 11 years, across every kind of startup. Candidates from Zomato and Blinkit stood out most of the time. The difference never showed up in the CV.
Four things I keep noticing:
→ They hand real ownership to young people. Not exposure, not shadowing decisions with consequences.
→ They hire young, high on intent, low on skill. Most of us say this. Very few of us actually do it.
→ Failure there ends an experiment, not a career.
→ They think in systems. They find the one lever that moves the whole number and pull it, instead of running 20 initiatives that each move 2%. Most teams confuse effort with impact. They don't.
But the last one is the hardest to build. There, love for the org sits above love for your own function. Trade-offs happen at the cost of a team or a quarter, never at the cost of the company. Most large organisations lose this without noticing every leader starts optimising for their own P&L, their own headcount, their own win. Nobody is being political. Everyone is just doing their job well. And the company quietly stops being one company.
And this shows up on the scoreboard. Blinkit and Zomato dominate respective category against well-funded rivals splitting the rest. Talent density is the moat nobody lists in the deck.
That's the recipe you won't find in any quarterly report or news story.
One of the greatest viruses of the modern man is looking at Instagram Stories. You will melt your brain looking at a barrage of outcomes—like vacations, parties, cars—with no visibility of the process that got them there.
Spent the week at Harvard meeting undergrads and MBA students. A few takeaways:
- THE highest status job now is joining a company like Mercor or Cognition. Gone are the days when everyone wants to go to McK, GS or Google.
- The undergrads are significantly more impressive than the MBAs. This was always true in my view, but that gap has widened significantly.
- Everyone is obsessively thinking about how AI will impact their careers. Many are questioning the value of higher ed entirely and actively considering dropping out.
Bro it’s called a Roth IRA, it’s so sick. You just live like a povert for 50 years, then one day you wake up and your cock doesn’t work but you get to open your phone and see a big number, and the best part? It’s all tax free.
