I have heart surgery coming up next week and now understand why I’ve been so physically exhausted and out-of-sorts these past few months. The docs tell me my condition is called “atrial functional tricuspid regurgitation” and that it is “mainly due to long standing atrial fibrillation… The tricuspid valve is leaking severely, causing a back pressure on all the internal organs and a high jugular venous pressure.” The procedure aims to get this old body back on the road again quickly and efficiently. It is VERY LOW RISK but of course I’m grateful for any good wishes sent my way. I’m in the midst of writing a new book, the best work I’ve ever done, and I’m not going to let this stop me! I said yes to the linked podcast now, rather than after my procedure, for reasons that I explain during the interview:

Quite problematic really.
🚨 Start mining at home , anon.
One of my big goals this year was to start mining at home and inspire others to do the same!
(And also sell a bunch of miners to support my biz, naturally!)
We can move the needle!!
More than 100 children in Uganda have a new school and classrooms thanks to donations of bitcoin. Starlight Elementary was about to close after a district inspector flagged it below ministry standard, that is, until bitcoin and new management saved it.
It was actually a lot of fun.
As you can tell from the version numbers on the services, it was a very iterative process but over the course of about 8 hours of beating the AI for the hash bot and maybe 1 hour for the telegram bot it got to where I wanted it to be and have both worked flawlessly since I made them.
For managing the bid I vibe coded a couple services that I sideloaded into my @start9labs server.
I have a bid bot that keeps my bid within certain parameters and a telegram bot that auto clicks the confirmation messages from Braiins.
The only hands-on component I have in managing the bid is to top off the account with sats and making those sats available to the bid.
