@megbasham Platt required attendees to provide their political affiliation & ethnicity for his Justice & Race discipleship class he led w/ Mike Kelsey at MBC in July 2020. Many people found it very odd.
@wartwatch@ThouArtTheMan Greer, Platt & all of these guys- seared consciences when it comes to deceit; they don’t even flinch. (On 🎯with this write up- thank you.)
“Were these former elders and ministry leaders aware that church leadership potentially sent $500K of church tithes to Thabiti and Anacostia River Church? Was the congregation aware? Based on everything that has come to light recently, the answer is probably no.”
“Why would David Platt grant Thabiti access to MBC, a conservative evangelical church… and donate large sums of money to his church given his theological stance and race-baiting views of white Christians?” @CapstoneReport

The processes of discovery and cross examination are the greatest engines of truth we have in the American legal system. If you are agitating against people making use of them, it’s generally because you have some sense that a narrative you’re invested in might not hold up.
“Now these were the people of the province who came up out of the captivity of those exiles…” (Ezra 2:1)
God, we praise You that for all who trust in You, suffering and exile will not be the end of our story.

Please watch this video from a longtime attendee of MBC, Salvador Cordova, one of the plaintiff’s on the lawsuit we’ve been highlighting; he was also trespassed by David Platt and the Elders, after being put on their Security “watch list” https://t.co/cPNSm65JXh

Fascinating letter from McLean plaintiffs’ lawyer.
Says McLean made membership, affiliation promises to SBCV, SBC.
Points to a dizzying system of financial transfers to put Platt, MBC into SBC, NAMB leadership.
Says more documents coming …

@CapstoneReport (2/2) As a parsonage, it cost the church $25k to cover maintenance, utilities, etc. That + his current mortgage= $95k/year he’s potentially spending, just on housing. He could easily find cheaper neighborhoods 5-10 miles from McLean. He is CHOOSING this lifestyle.
@CapstoneReport (1/2) For everyone who is defending the $1.1M home because of its modesty & proximity to his church- David Platt stepped down as Sr. Lead Pastor in November, around the time he bought it. He preaches at McLean 50% of the year at most, probably less going forward.
