@Cmh176Hughes, your highly unpopular plan for Wagner Park will be your and Martha’s legacy. How do you think history will feel when there was a cheaper, greener, more environmentally friendly and community backed alternative supported by the @SierraClub?
@Cmh176Hughes, under your leadership, Battery Park City and Lower Manhattan is in a worst state to deal with climate risks. The 100+ mature trees you cut down are critical for carbon sequestration. This is your legacy.
"#Billions are being spent to turn the tide on the US #West's #wildfires. It won't be enough...What’s driving all of this is #insect infestation, #drought stress, and all of that is related to the #climate...I don’t think you can get out of it by thinning” https://t.co/OrlVEKgVrx
@Cmh176Hughes, you are on the wrong side of history. It won’t be too long that everyone, even those in power, will be shaking their heads at what you guys did in Wagner Park.

This is what the @bpca_ny and @GovKathyHochul and her Authority board did to it. @Cmh176Hughes, Martha Gallo, Anthony Kendall and the other unelected board.
@Cmh176Hughes@business@Cmh176Hughes this was from you. You pushed this design when there was a better way that saved the trees and park. We will never forget. Your legacy to Battery Park City.
Catherine, you are personally responsible for contributing to the climate crisis. You pushed the most destructive plan that demolished our critical natural resources. This is your work. Over 100 trees killed. @CeresNews@SierraClub@Greenpeace@WWF@TreesforCities@ClientEarth
@Greenpeace@SierraClub@ClientEarth@WWF we need you in Lower Manhattan to stop @AECOM from demolishing all the nature along the coastline. We had alternative resiliency plans that kept all the trees, but they were less costly and profitable for @AECOM. Please help!
The Battery Park City Authority led by Martha Gallo and @Cmh176Hughes cut down every single tree in Wagner Park in their effort to redevelop with @AECOM at the helm. @nytimes@CNN@THECITYNY@nypost
