Your questions are not relevant because this is about YOUR perception of this human being. Calling them sinister or shifty because of their neutral expression says more about you than about them.

All you seem to be saying is that someone who isn't smiling looks sinister. That sounds like a you problem. Maybe learn to see the humanity in a resting, non smiling face?
