@taketo0827 ここが一番難しいところですね。当初オリエンテーリングが大事だったかどうかと言ったら否。好きだったスポーツから引き離している。部活からも引き離している。親の好き勝手でやってる。その上で子供に選んでもらっている。他のスポーツも同じでは？

その次に大事なのは、小学校から中学に登る段階で辞めさせないこと。岳人さんがやっているようなオンラインセッションを継続的にやるのが大事なのは当然として、他の部活動に奪われないことが大事。

そう考えると、宮内とかはもしかしたらある意味日本版トーベだったかも？せめて大学一年で始めていたら。いや、単に30後半まで続けていたら？なんで思ってしまう。

米国はアメフト等の最高アスリートがサッカーやればいつでも世界で勝てる的な話がある。それに対して欧州の人が、子供の頃からのスキルがありとの指摘があり、それってオリエンテーリングもそうだよなって思う。

実際問題、世界のトップはオリンピックのマラソンに出るような人たち。世界選手権はサッカーで言えばワールドカップと考えれば、大学スタートで対抗するのは不可能ではないけど、北欧で生まれていたらトーベ並の選手になっているくらいでないと？

@KVanValkenburg If we assume that these top athletes chose these sports not for the love of the sport but because of more fame and fortune w/i US, why would they choose soccer even then? If it is love of the sport, why would they choose soccer then?

@KimieTerashima 複数スポーツへの取り組みは良いですね。アメリカでもシーズン制ですし。一方で、日本のオリエンテーリングとしては、選手確保の作戦は課題だと思います。中高生向けは、シーズン制で割り切り、他の部活動と兼部しやすくするのも手なのかな…

@taketo0827 高校レベルでスポーツとして本格的に取り組んでいるように見える最近の浦高の選手たちの大学、そしてそれ以降どう成長するかは興味あります。

@taketo0827 そうですね。大学での活動が活発なのは他国に比べて優位性があります。とは言え、K12で始める人が少な過ぎてその優位性を活かしきれてない気がします。
