I love people who are intellectually omnivorous.
The kind who can discuss folklore, black holes, bird migration, poetry, and grocery store pricing in a single conversation without getting lost.
When Dostoevsky said:

Never forget what a true privilege it is to be healthy, to have a job, and food on the table. Don't take any of it for granted or lose sight of it, and above all, stay deeply grateful!
It doesn’t matter how many books you read (or pretend to read), it only matters how many ideas get inside of you and become permanent architectural features of your inner life, and what the quality of those ideas is.
how can we forget the prophet’s pbuh last sermon about brotherhood… he opposed racism, colorism, tribalism, ethnocentrism, and warned that no one is superior to another. yet somehow we still become what he stood against.
Imagine getting in a time machine and going back to 1776 and telling the Founding Fathers that the King would one day be reminding America about the importance of democracy and our checks and balances. That is the timeline we’re living in.
all i really care about is sunsets and sunrises and seas and oceans and trees and birds and animals and mountains and the sun and the air and good experiences and laughter and nice food and being around people i like and love and contemplation and reflection and prayer and peace.
how do i tell some of my professors that they changed my life by being the smartest loveliest people i know, and teaching me that there are alternative ways of growing up as a woman where you'll be loved and have a beautiful life even when you defy what society wants from you
Men will literally believe a woman is a słut from a man with zero proof but all of a sudden they need 300 photos, 55 videos, 15 police reports and 20 witnesses to believe a man is a rapisť.
