I actually work with Israeli soldiers and families dealing with PTSD, so watching people celebrate this man's breakdown and call it evidence of his “guilt” is particularly vile.

His name is Avi Varsano.

After more than two years of reserve service, he came home and one night found himself putting on his uniform, helmet and vest at 2 a.m. and scanning his apartment building as though he were still in combat.

That's trauma. Your nervous system survived the war and hasn't figured out that you're home yet.

He walked hundreds of kilometers to Jerusalem because he wants soldiers who ask for help to actually receive it.

PTSD is not a confession to a war crime.

And if seeing a traumatized veteran crying makes you laugh rather than recognize another human being in pain, the disturbing thing in this video isn't him. It's you.
