Four (4!!) BuzzFeed union members are getting 3 months less severance than literally everyone else.
Please consider donating, even $5 as a way to personally humiliate BuzzFeed management for being broke and cruel: https://t.co/ZcAqS4vwas
We want to thank all our members and allies who sent letters and tweeted on behalf of the @HuffPostUnion. Your solidarity had a real impact at the bargaining table, and we can’t thank you enough. #1u#solidarityforever
hours away from contract expiration with a strike pledge signed by 98% of @HuffPostUnion and management is holding on effective pay cuts and one of the worst 401k's in the industry
HuffPost's 401k matching shrank dramatically after BuzzFeed bought us.
Yet even now, as @peretti wows Wall Street with the prospect of a future where bots produce journalism, his lawyers are refusing to bargain seriously with @HuffPostUnion on retirement benefits. C'mon, man.
I've been at HuffPost for nearly 10 yrs and have been shot down nearly every time I asked for a raise. A union contract with salary minimums & annual increases is the only way I've been able to earn more. Hearing that mgmt wants to cut back on those things makes me physically ill
The @HuffPostUnion’s contract expires at midnight tonight. The union presented HuffPost, now owned by Buzzfeed, with a strike pledge saying they’re ready to strike for a fair contract. 98% of the union signed the pledge.
I'm proud of how my @HuffPostUnion colleagues have bargained for a fair contract.
Management wants reductions to annual salary adjustments -- in this economy! I hope @peretti comes through.
