@stuholden The players all wanted Berhalter back. Now they have a buddy as a coach who can’t hold them accountable and get the best out of them. We will status quo our way to nowhere and these guys will be satisfied with being a golden generation that played in Europe. That’s it.
@tombogert They weren’t trying to be quiet or protesting. You could slightly hear them before them match during pauses when Crew fans had to take a drink. When the match started, they didn’t have much to cheer about and you didn’t hear them the rest of the time.
@MLS Rarely tune into MLS but thought I’d give it a chance so decided to check out the new darling of the league…Charlotte. Turf field??? I realize this is only new news to me. Do better @mls. Watched long enough to see a Crew player get stretchered off.
@ManAndBone971 My guys. My tool of the week is T-Bone for loving Mensah so much he can’t properly see the need to retool the Crew backline. We all love him but sometimes you have to let legends ride off in to the sunset.
@DegenerateTBone Not with you on this take. I love Mensah as an awesome human, but if you step back and evaluate the attempt to improve the quality of play…this is not a particularly surprising move for Wilfred & front office. That back line definitely needed retooled.
@AlexiLalas@MLS Yes. You rightly describe the benefits of a monopoly that no business person ever wants to relinquish. Pro/rel advocates simply care more about the development and access of the game for all rather than protecting NFL-owned monopolies. #ProRelForUSA
@ManagerTactical This whole thread is a perfect example of cultural naivety. Beginning with misplacing Roy Keane as a Brit to telling Brazilians they shouldn’t dance. 😆 A perfect Twitter post to culturally offend as many people as possible.
@MLSist Both matches today we’re like the younger brothers playing the older brothers. The soccer acumen and maturity of the older brothers could not be overcome by the two younger brothers, even with their passion, tenacity & vigor. Someday maybe…but not today.
@herculezg Not a newbie to the game. I like when any sport says that a match is so many minutes long… and you actually play for those many minutes. 🤷🏻♂️
Here you go #USSF. You may use this modified flag to demonstrate solidarity w/ women who have endured a toxic culture under your watch as a less complicated sign you are willing to actually shake things up rather than social media poking Iran. #yatesreport#reformUSSF#USWNT
The official US Soccer Twitter has posted the flag of Iran without the Islamic Republic symbol. US Soccer says it's to show "support for the women in Iran fighting for basic human rights." US Soccer adds it was a one-time display and it will restore the symbol moving forward.
@BleacherReport@TimesSport Messi is one of my all-time favorite players. But this doesn’t dispel the reality that older players enjoy “retiring” to America. The intensity of MLS league matches are akin to charity, farewell friendlies. It works out perfect for all of these greats. #ProRelForUSA#reformUSSF
