@PassportCan Travelling Aug 10 - can I call OR go into Service Canada for file transfer? I was told 10 business days. Will I still then have to line up overnight at 48 hours?

@NatteringNic @PassportCan Worst case if I do not hear by Monday EOD, I go down to the office on Tues 9th am with transfer email, file number and flight info. She said they have to say that there is no guarantee because the very odd one has been refused.

@NatteringNic @PassportCan So because I travel on the 10th, my transfer request is for the 9th, so the earliest I will hear from Edm office is Friday and latest is Monday afternoon for pick up on the 9th.

@ValBradfordMP You can REQUEST a transfer - but then it enters another black box of non transparency! People still needing to go to passport office twice.

@NatteringNic @PassportCan Requested In person jul 26 at service Canada Edmonton - now they recommend <45 days go to Passport Office - do they get priority over those of us who thought we applied in plenty of time?? Also heard ppl who show up at 2 days have to return the next day??

@PassportCan what does “request for transfer” mean?? What are the timelines for communicating whether or not it has been accepted or rejected? Will they let people know before the 48 hour mark to avoid having to stand in line again??

@WestJet Aug 10th: YEG-YYC landing 7:PM, YYC - DUB leaving 8:45 PM. Is this sufficient turnaround time in YYC or should we attempt to rebook to earlier YEG-YYC?
