Additional results showed that 1. high bliss states are easier to access and amplified with repeated practice. 2. The subject group selected had never done any breathwork before on purpose, yet they were able to get into consistent psychedelic and bliss states.
Together with neuroscientists from Cambridge Uni @healey_evan @TrikBek My @SomaBreath 21 day breathwork protocol was studied for the largest study on breathwork done so far, because Soma Breath techniques distinguishes itself through its utilization of rhythmic music to guide participants' breathing patterns. This standardization allows for a uniform experience among participants, crucial for the study's objective to measure brain activity with a high degree of accuracy.
The protocol, lasting for 21 days, involves participants breathing in sync to proprietary music, designed to ensure each breath is perfectly timed.
This method's precision provides a fertile ground for researchers to observe the neural effects of breathwork with unparalleled clarity as well as a technique that is easily repeatable and scaleable, as a pharmacist this was important to me when I developed the first version of the technique over 10 years ago.
This is the first preprint - we are now working towards funding for a full clinical trial to get this into the NHS for mental health!
