@Techtonicus1@PeteThamel@Bearcat_T The entire integrity of the sport is called into question when those who can impact the game directly are betting on it. The hammer is the only reasonable response.
@wthomassports You can't cap the salary of people not under your employ. Until universities make direct payments for employment to the players, there can be no collective bargaining. The chaos exists because of the universities unwillingness to call them employees. Until that is resolved..chaos
@QuincyAvery There is no reasonable argument to this. The chaos of NIL exists because the schools prefer to not recognize their scholar athletes as employees. Until they do, there is no legal way to cap what they can earn.
@TheBusbyProject@Genetics56 Since NIL, there has been more parity in the sport than ever before. The problem for the SEC isn't that they don't have money, it's that they aren't the only ones spending anymore. What a coincidence that the existence of NIL simultaneously ended SEC dominance.
@durteethoughts@QuincyAvery Student athlete gets a "free" education. Coaching staff gets $20 million+ to coach a team of complete amateurs. Something doesn't make sense.
@rickybobbbi@QuincyAvery@ScottyMc71 You are worth whatever someone is willing to pay you. Or do you not believe in the free market? Are you a socialist?
