As I say often, the role of stupidity in politics is underestimated.
Polanski clearly hasn't got a clue about Hungary. He assumes that if Orban is a 'baddy' then whoever opposes him must be, in his eyes, a 'goody'.
But in many ways Magyar is further to the right than Orban, certainly on immigration. And he's very pro-Israel. Magyar is as far from Polanski as imaginable. If he was running here Polanski would drone on about him being a 'fascist'.
Truly, an idiot.
Her stamina, her perseverance in lying so consistently for so long, becomes more and more horrifying with every passing day.
She is a genuinely disgusting human being.
To be honest Keir Starmer has impressed me. For once a leader of Britain has not licked the arse of the US. Especially how the US has treated us of late.
Trump has made it abundantly clear with his tariffs and threats of pulling out of NATO and allowing his online chums to disrespect Britain, with him even suggesting our service men did nothing in wars historically.
So NO Mr president- you can go your own way. You do what you think is right for your people and our PM doesn’t need to follow.
Well done @Keir_Starmer 👏🏽👏🏽
Timeline:
2014: Trump says Obama will invade Iran because he's not a good enough negotiator to get a deal with them
2015: Obama, with the backing of the EU, China, Russia and others, gets a deal with them
2018: Trump cancels deal bc it was Obama's and says he can negotiate a better one.
2018-2020: Trump can't negotiate one. Arms control experts and Trump officials start to grumble that scrapping Obama's deal was probably a bad idea.
2025: Trump still can't negotiate a new deal
2025: Israel launches an attack on Iran. Drags Trump in. Trump claims Iran's nuclear capacity was wiped out
2025-2026: Trump still can't negotiate a deal
2026: Trump launches a regime change war on Iran, at Israel's goading
Do people find it odd that whenever the US bomb a country, the US social media platform suddenly flooded with
"I'm from the country being bombed, Please bomb our country, USA!"
So much for no new wars under Trump amiright?
All those who supported Trump as the anti interventionist and isolationist politician deserve to be mocked forever.
DEAN: “What’s the tariff on bananas?”
LUTNICK: “10%.”
DEAN: “Walmart already raised banana prices by 8%.”
LUTNICK: “Well, if you build in America, there’s no tariff.”
DEAN: “You can’t build bananas in America.”
“Make America go away”.
According to a recent poll, only 16% of EU citizens now consider the U.S. an ally. Even in the UK, that number is down to a meager 25%.
The long-term damage Trump is causing to the United States will take years to undo
The NYT has a new video analysis of Renee Good's shooting which is careful, accurate, and clear - he walked across the path of a moving car, then leaned in and shot her with his feet well clear of the vehicle. 1/

Maybe I’m too much of a European, but I honestly can’t understand how so many Americans find it perfectly natural to be shot in the head on the spot for the slightest act of disobedience toward any sort of law enforcement. You might wanna revisit that "land of the free" thing.
Must watch: NYT just released a damning forensic analysis of the ICE shooting in Minneapolis.
It flatly refutes Trump administration claims — confirming the motorist was driving away, not toward the officer, and the officer was not hit by the vehicle.
