Happy to share my first publication as a #newPI, out in @ACS_AMI. Ecstatic I could do the revision experiments in my independent lab, @LabSrivastava at @TTUEngineering, and excited for my undergrad mentee @belluhvasquez on their first ever publication🧫🧪

Removing #microplastics from #water could be as simple as brewing a cup of tea or coffee. ☕ As reported in @EnvSciTech, boiling tap water could capture up to 90% of nano- and microplastics present. Read more: https://t.co/YOeOGUXUuz @ACSPublications#Chemistry#Research
Can leaders please just eliminate programs like this??
If more time is spent applying than is funded for the winner, it’s a NET NEGATIVE for scientific progress.
@pauldauenhauer Starting an work email with "Dear" is so much better and less cringy than ending one with "Love."
Which I have seen happen before from a student who thought, that's just how you're supposed to end an email, because that's how they end all their letters they send I presumed
Looking forward to reading this work, related to my own, about using light to control how nanoparticles form in cells.

I love it when people send me research they find that makes them think, "this is really cool!"
If you ever find a research paper that you think is really cool, but don't know who to share it with, or you're not sure who would appreciate it, send it to me.
I'd appreciate it!

Our recent work generating gold nanoparticles from within pancreatic tumors was just featured in MD Anderson Research Highlights!
And they used my photo!

@lichenlady94@MDAndersonNews@acsnano We're not actually applying nanoparticles, but instead applying a pre-cursor material and the cancer cells convert that material into nanoparticles within the tumor
