It doesn’t prove someone is a good person. It doesn’t prove they’re human. It doesn’t stop AI or scams or lies. But it makes identity and reputation harder to fake, and it gives regular people a way to say, “I trust this source,” “someone I trust trusts this source,” or “I have no idea who this is.”

The Human Web is about making the internet feel more like real life again.

In real life, you usually don’t trust information because a machine shoved it in front of you. You trust it because you know who said it, or because someone you trust pointed you toward it. A friend recommends a mechanic. A coworker sends you an article. Your sister says, “I know this person, they’re legit.” Trust moves through people.

Online, we lost a lot of that. Social media turned everything into a feed controlled by algorithms, ads, bots, fake accounts, and now AI-generated stuff that can sound completely real. The problem isn’t just that fake things exist. Fake things have always existed. The problem is that it’s getting harder to tell where something came from, who stands behind it, and whether anyone you trust is connected to it.

The Human Web is an attempt to fix that.
