@KentHighways people are ignoring the signs saying that Robin Hood Lane is closed and are driving over the pavement to get around the roadworks (South East water). It’s not safe and my son and I were nearly clipped by a car as we walked past this morning.
@HelloFreshUK I keep receiving deliveries where the meat and dairy products have fallen out of the chilled box and they are warm (I don’t know how long they have been out of the box). Can you look into a better way of securing the chilled box?
@TMBC_Kent unfortunately Tunbury park has been vandalised. All the new trees planted have been damaged and there are tyre marks all over the field. Some tyres have also been dumped around the underpass.
@kmfmnews The familiarisation guide on the council website clearly states that each test will be ‘around 1 hour’, so that is what everyone was expecting. They were not expecting the test to be half that time in length, but with more questions than they could realistically answer.
@hannahsbee@NewStatesman Yes I am good now thank you. It took a long time to recover physically and mentally (post partum anxiety), but I got there eventually.
@BBCNews I completely sympathise with learner drivers, as it’s bad enough being an experienced driver. Some people are so impatient and abusive. Top that off with increasing levels of drug driving and it’s pretty scary stuff on the roads for all road users.
@johnlewishelp we’ve had a terrible experience with @johnlewishelp@WhichUK Delivered on 16May, latest completion now 21 July. Problems have spanned QC issues, delivery problems, design issues, missing items, incorrect ordering. Worst of all is the service response.
@LeTracM@johnlewishelp Sorry to hear you’ve had a horrible experience too. How is the situation now? I have had many issues with my kitchen and no word of an apology or any form of goodwill gesture or compensation for the pain we’ve gone through so far!
@jonsopel I was ill with covid and trying to care for my husband who was extremely unwell with it. He caught it when teaching key workers’ children up until the end of term. It was a thoroughly miserable Christmas and we couldn’t do anything nice for our children as we were so ill.
@CaroleR42506013 @DrPragyaAgarwal I felt very similar and guilty like I’d failed, even though it just wasn’t possible with my kids even with lots of support (numerous reasons). Wish I’d just spent the time enjoying being with my babies and not endlessly worrying about how I was feeding them!
@Ed_Jennings I live in a part of Walderslade right on the boundary, which falls under TMBC. Now I can’t go to the Capstone tip and have to drive >20 mins to get to the nearest KCC one. I wouldn’t even mind paying a small fee to use Medway sites, but that isn’t being made an option.
@medway_council Please reconsider this! As someone who lives right next to the boundary with Medway, I will now have to drive 20 mins to get to a KCC site. I live within walking distance of Capstone. Even if you charged a fee for us to use your sites (like KCC are doing) that would be better!
🧵RISING INTEREST RATES ARE A BIGGER DEAL THAN YOU MIGHT THINK🧵
This is important (hence the caps).
I’m a bit worried people are being WAY too complacent about rising interest rates.
They assume that because they’re so low now vs the 1990s, this’ll be a walk in the park.
NO.
I see that #dontpayuk is trending on Twitter. Energy bills 100% need to come down, but non-payment of bills targets the wrong companies: it’s like shoplifting your entire big weekly supermarket shop because their suppliers are price gouging on potatoes. Here’s a thread why: 1)
