@AlunDaviesMS I agree and one of the priorities should be to get 4tph to Ebbw Vale by doubling the 2.5 mile section between Aberbeeg and Marine Colliery at the bottom of Cwm, it used to be double track and nothing has been built there to prevent it being so again.
@swalesmetroprof Great, more stations on the Ebbw line would be beneficial too, especially Cwm where the geography doesn’t allow easy or quick walking access to Ebbw Parkway for those without a car e.g students and pensioners
@LSRPlaid Plaid and the Lib Dem’s should not agree to the Welsh Governments budget this winter until a deal is struck to devolve all of rail, thereby unlocking the Barnett consequentials
@WillHayCardiff Plaid and the Lib Dems should not agree to the Welsh Governments budget this winter until they strike a deal to devolve all of rail and thereby unlocking the Barnett consequentials and forcing Labours hand
@LauraMcAllister@WillHayCardiff@Comisiwn Plaid and the Lib Dems should not agree to the Welsh Governments budget this winter until they strike a deal to devolve all of rail and thereby unlocking the Barnett consequentials
@mimosacymru Plaid and the Lib Dems should not agree to the Welsh Governments budget this winter until they strike a deal to devolve all of rail and thus unlock the Barnett consequentials
@swalesmetroprof I think Plaid and the Lib Dems should not agree to the Welsh Governments budget this winter which Labour need as they don’t have a majority until all rail is devolved and thus unlocking the barnett consequentials
@DoddsJane I think you and Plaid should not vote for the Welsh Governments budget this winter until all rail is devolved and thus unlock the consequential funding like Scotland and N Ireland
@swalesmetroprof Section between Aberbeeg and Cwm/Marine Colliery site that could be easily redoubled shown in blue.
Section through Cwm shown in red that can’t be doubled because the bypass was built on part of the railway alignment
@swalesmetroprof You can double the line up to just south of Cwm (the old Marine Colliery site) from Aberbeeg no problem. There should be no obstructions.
It’s just the section through Cwm you wouldn’t be able to double because the bypass was built on part of the railway alignment
@GeorgeMonbiot It looks similar to Silent Valley Nature Reserve in South Wales the highest and most westerly Beech wood forest in Europe https://t.co/JbScXwEpeE https://t.co/cVeFJQLjO9
Hugs and tears for @theSNP Euro MPs in Brussels as #Brexit deal is approved
Piper playing Flower of Scotland and EU anthem Ode to Joy
MEP @AileenMcLeodSNP in the debate appealed to EU to “leave a light on” for Scotland
Taking my seat in Strasbourg for the last time after five and a half wonderful years.
One day British MEPS will get to sit here again and represent our interests and work with our neighbours to solve common problems.
Britain is taking a sabbatical 😉
To all people in the UK who are heartbroken right now: The pro-European movement you have created in the past years is absolutely beautiful.
We will build on that. And trust me:
One day, I will see British MEPs being elected into this chamber again.
