It's been a lean spring on my local water bodies due to high water levels. More mud today brought in a nice male ruff and a single blackwit, Loudon Pond Douglas Water @Clydebirding
Checked and failed to find anything with orange legs lurking with my local pinks today, 500+ at Carstairs and c1200 in the Dunsyre area, only thing of note was this aberrant plumaged bird, one I've previously seen a while back @Clydebirding
Had a trip through to the Lammermuirs today to try for the black throated thrush, after a bit of searching the bird obliged and showed well on its own for most of morning in the field by the sheep shed. Makes up for the 2022 Haddington bird not making the grade. @birdinglothian
Had a trip down to York for a couple of days, single peregrine on the North West tower both Wednesday and Thursday, these images from Thursday looks like the male? perhaps @YorkPeregrines can confirm

Quick walk round Lanark Loch this morning produced 2 BHG darvics only my 2nd and 3rd of the winter at this location, ringed birds way down this year. Red ring will be a local Clyde RG bird but blue one looks to be Polish. @Clydebirding
It's taken a wee while but at last found a single Tundra Bean in a flock c1000 pinks off Robiesland Ave Lanark this afternoon, for once the birds were a bit closer. @Clydebirding

Geese were hard work today, single Russian whitefront in c1000 pinks at Douglas Water was all of note. Spent a while with this 1st winter peregrine near New Lanark after glimpsing the darvic, nearly an hour and a half before it gave it up. @Clydebirding

Started the month with 2 Russian whitefronts and now finished the month with same. Again distant but good enough images to show belly patterns are different despite only being c800m from first birds, with c700 pinks at The Meetings near Carnwath today. @Clydebirding
Managed to steal an hour between dinner preparation and cooking and got lucky with 2 Russian Whitefronts with 11 greylags and 8 whoopers below Eastfield Farm Pettinain early afternoon. always a bit distant but decent scope views. @Clydebirding
Below Eastfield Farm Pettinain today site best count of 6 little egrets sheltering from the stiff easterly and a great white braving conditions further down the bank @Clydebirding
