@asmartbear Definitely can be true. There is a sense of accomplishment that makes any pursuit worthwhile... though some pursue for reasons external to the practice itself.

If a skill is a means to an end, what then? Is AI not just a tool getting a job done more quickly?

@DoctorDirtNasty @levelsio This is the correct math. When we lived in San Francisco, the cost of the mortgage after tax savings was far less than rent and we grew equity. That's the only calculation you need to look at. Is your cost of living going up or down when buying vs renting?

@levelsio Context window limits are really the only blocker here. For now I keep a high level summary of structure, architecture for ramping a AI to orient it, along with some basic coding conventions. Helps a ton!

@levelsio People like both. Typical games let you toggle a setting to invert Y. That said, flight Sims match plane mechanics, and back pulls up, forward goes down.

@levelsio Hmm, that's odd it doesn't actually move the code. Maybe that's a model issue? I noticed with Windsurf Claude has almost no issues refactoring code into separate files. But if I use R1, it just blabs on and doesn't actually change anything.

Try to move it 1 feature at a time?
