18 years ago, I came to the US to pursue my dream of becoming a scientist. Last week marked a major milestone in this journey, as I accepted an Assistant Professor position at @UChicago, where I am thrilled to start my own research group in January 2025! (1/5)
Congrats to Eytan Stein, MD, and team on the publication of their study in @Nature demonstrating that the menin inhibitor revumenib led to deep and sustained remission in children and adults with KMT2A-rearranged or NPM1-mutant leukemia. #leusm#Cancer

@Lingbo_Zhang@CSHL @BloodJournal Thanks @Lingbo_Zhang! I enjoyed collaborating with your team and hope this will be a useful resource for the leukemia/metabolism community.
Thrilled to share new review of Zhang Lab @CSHL "Metabolism in acute myeloid leukemia: mechanistic insights & therapeutic targets" published @BloodJournal! Targeting metabolic dependency including selective vitamin & micronutrient pathway treats leukemia.

During my postdoc I embarked on understanding this biology and developed MACHETE, a deletion engineering strategy! We uncover that loss of 9p21.3 affects immune surveillance by disrupting both CDKN2A/B and a cluster of linked type I interferons.
New Preprint! Led by #DynamicDuo@BarrigaFM & @KTsanov, this study set out to understand how somatic copy number alterations (CNAs) promote cancer. CNAs are prevalent across cancer types & correlate w/ clinical outcomes but remain difficult to study. 1/n
