@LEGOfoundation In 2020 I wrote my Play Pledge. In 2023 Enseña por México translated it into Spanish to use in their programs.
We're all kindred spirits!
Play so the people you play with want to play again next time.

@UDiscApp I will use activity rounds to log my speed runs. I play for time and a single +/- score for the whole round. Only one +/- number to track in my head, so I don't have to stop running to log any actual hole scores.
Example: 18 holes, 10,280 ft, 30:50 @ +10
A framework for reflection and intention — Wins, Sins, and Lean-Ins.
Wins- what worked, due to skill, luck, or just taking a shot?
Sins- where did I miss the mark based on my personal values, goals, or standards?
Lean-Ins- what do I want to start, set aside, or finish?
@hubermanlab Fit.
Etymology "suited to the circumstances", "be the right shape", "properly trained for action"
Relates to a continuum of sickness > wellness > fitness.
Similar to dysfunctional > functional > high-performing or highly-suited.
@sternpinball Play head-to-head. Choose Good or Evil. Your score counts either + or - on the new master score display. Good side is winning if master score is +1 or more. Evil if -1 or less. Can play 2 or 3 v 1! Lights shift white or red based on + or - in master score, to show who's ahead.
Function informs Physique.
If you want to look more like an athlete, train to move more like an athlete.
Your body will adapt in the direction of the function you demand of it.
Want to become an author? Write.
Want to become a chef? Cook.
Want to become more active? Move.
To become what you want 1) takes some work 2) that you can do.
Pick a target, and take a step towards it.
Open the door, then listen. They will give you a mess
of parts. Help them filter, group, relate, and reframe until it feels simpler and clearer to them. They will be happier.
@ScottScheper Notice a problem that interests you. Develop it into a question that compels you. Try to solve it. The more you are genuinely interested in finding an answer, the less you need discipline. Choose well, and you can fill a long life with meaningful work.
Every thought, idea, mental model, or framework is made of combinations of only four things.
1) Distinctions between what something is, and isn't.
2) Systems of nested parts and wholes.
3) Relationships of interactions.
4) Perspectives of different points and views.
@augustjamesd Agreed, with the distinction that how we think and act together is an emergent property of how we think and act individually, together. #DSRP
@fortelabs PiXimperfect
Photoshop skills. The videos are as short as possible, as long as needed, all steps are included, and there is an ever-present attitude of encouragement and confidence.
