@Miss_Crofts I'd ensure that you include the words they're less likely to know too. AQA love to use 'Determine' instead of calculate, and name, state, give. Draw and tick I'd also add for foundation groups as ours are constantly drawing the wrong number of lines or ticking too many boxes!
I work with many fabulous young women and hope to inspire them in STEM when it can feel as if the odds are stacked against them! Just a few quotes from our network!
@stevensye Would you be interested in speaking at our BHM event at 5pm on 19/10 at @ArkActonAcademy in West London after your lecture at Imperial college that we are going to listen to at lunchtime? Our students would love to hear your story!
A good reminder to not believe everything you read on the internet.

When we get back to school, when a student asks me a question, I’m going to go silent for like 30 seconds, just to give them all a taste of their own medicine... 👨🏫 = 🦹♂️ 😈

@thejamesmcaulay Love this one! Would be great to read about mornings too after this. I have found diary writing and a SAD lamp invaluable parts of my routine!
I just found out that Frederick Reif, whose book on cognitive science and education I absolutely LOVE, passed away in 2019 at 92. Here's a short thread, I'd like you to share it if possible because I think science teachers should know more of his stuff. 1/
