A bit obsessed with the goddess Seshat currently. She's associated with measuring & recording, especially with the king's reign & the construction of temples. Here's Hatshepsut (l) opposite the goddess (r) as they dedicate the structure in which they stand: the Red Chapel, Karnak
As has been the practice of the Epigraphic Survey, the artists worked on the photographic enlargements directly in front of the reliefs, and the collation of the artists’ drawings by the Egyptologists was done through careful scrutiny of these reliefs.
