fal is an official launch partner for @OpenAI's new role-specific plugins in Codex, live today.
With fal in Codex, creative teams can pull models, assets, and workflows from fal directly into Codex sessions. Faster from a question or brief to useful output, without leaving the agent.
We’re making Codex more useful for your work by expanding plugins beyond individual tools.
These plugins turn Codex into a specialist for a specific role with a single install, no coding required.
Codex can access 62 popular apps and 110 skills for work across sales, data analytics, creative production, product design, and public equity investing.

Codex app update: Build and deploy websites with Sites
What changed:
• Sites is now available in preview in the Codex app.
• Use the Sites plugin to create, save, deploy, and inspect websites, dashboards, internal tools, web apps, and games hosted by OpenAI.
• ChatGPT Business workspaces include Sites by default; Enterprise admins can enable it via RBAC.
Details in thread.
Codex CLI 0.136.0 is out.
Highlights:
- Sessions can now be archived from the TUI with /archive or from the CLI with codex archive / codex unarchive; archived sessions are protected from resume/fork until restored.
- TUI markdown keeps web links clickable via OSC 8 metadata; cramped tables switch to key/value records without losing link targets.
- Remote-control websockets now use short-lived server tokens instead of ChatGPT access tokens; CODEX_API_KEY registration supported for approved OpenAI hosts.
- Command-safety hardening: /diff blocked from running repository-provided Git helpers/hooks; browser-origin exec-server websocket handshakes are now rejected.

GPT-5.6 Leaks : Coming in June
- OpenAI researchers hinted that the model behind a recent major math breakthrough is already being used internally as a daily driver for debugging and technical work
- Internal testing tags iris-alpha, ember-alpha, and beacon-alpha were spotted during development, potentially pointing toward multiple GPT-5.6 variants being tested
- GPT-5.6 seems heavily focused on stronger multi-step reasoning, better agentic workflows, and improved frontend generation capabilities
- Canary testing references are already appearing in developer environments, the same quiet rollout pattern seen before GPT-5.5 launched
- Current leaks point toward two models arriving: GPT-5.6 and GPT-5.6 Pro
- GPT-5.6, Sonnet 4.8, and Gemini 3.5 Pro are all expected in June, next month is looking like an AI festival
It’s Codex Thursday, and yes, we have updates for you.
First up: Appshots, a new way to bring the context of what you’re working on into Codex.
On your Mac, press Command-Command to attach your app window to a Codex thread. Codex gets both a screenshot and text from the window, including content beyond what’s visible onscreen.
Appshots are available across plans on Mac, with enterprise access coming soon.

we are offering discounted tokens and certainty on capacity availability in exchange for 1-3 year commits.
we expect that the world will feel increasingly capacity constrained for the next while, as models continue to get much more useful.
We’re introducing a new GitHub Certified: Agentic AI Developer (GH-600).
As AI agents become part of modern development workflows, this role-based certification focuses on how developers and teams operate, supervise, and integrate agents across the SDLC.
If you’re already working with tools like GitHub Copilot or exploring agent-driven workflows, we’d love your input.

Codex is getting easier to automate and customize around your code.
🪝 Hooks customize the Codex loop with scripts that run at key points in a task:
• Run validators before or after work
• Scan prompts for secrets
• Log conversations to internal systems
• Create memories or customize behavior by repo or directory
⚙️ Programmatic access tokens provide scoped credentials for Business and Enterprise teams:
• Create tokens from ChatGPT workspace settings
• Use them in CI, release workflows, and internal automations
• Set expirations or revoke access when needed
• Keep usage tied back to the workspace
