Cursor is my vibecoding tool of choice, and I use Composer 2.5 daily.
It is a really good model, even SOTA. It still struggles with the hardest 5% of problems but excels at the vast majority of tasks.
It is also fast and cheap, two qualities that are practically nonexistent in frontier AI models.
Grok Composer 3, trained on @SpaceX’s Colossus data center, will be even better. It is a 1.5T parameter model trained from scratch.
@cursor_ai is also making a mobile app (which I am very excited for) and Origin, a GitHub competitor focused on AI.
I expect Grok Composer and SpaceXCursor to rejoin the AI race for AGI, hopefully in first place. It is also good to see more competition for AGI outside of just Sam and Dario.
All in all, Cursor’s potential is higher than the atmosphere, and its acquisition was a genius move by @elonmusk.

It is being trained from scratch, unlike previous Composer models, which were built off Kimi.
This new model is Elon’s attempt to get back in the AI race, and he might rejoin as the frontrunner.
Composer 2.5 is already a world-class model, only losing to models like GPT-5.5, Opus 4.8, and Fable 5.
Grok Composer 3, with SpaceX’s massive compute and xAI’s team, could become the best AI model on the planet.

Grok 4.3 (and the upcoming ones) are now their first truly frontier-scale models after rapid scaling on Colossus. The real leverage has always been in infrastructure and distribution, not just raw model intelligence - Elon has emphasized this.
The Cursor acquisition + heavy focus on orbital data centers are the big money moves. You don't need to lead every benchmark by 3-6 months when you control the compute, power, and deployment edge (especially with deals like the Anthropic compute partnership).

@robinebers Moved to cursor over a month back and not going back soon. Even the $20 plan has very generous limits compared to Codex or Claude. Composer is a great model, faster and cheaper.
