@jackbenimble84@RykerJackson97@DezGoth 1. It is their choice to serve. Some do, some don't. No one should be forced.
2. They are taught to invite. Anyone who pushes their beliefs onto others is doing it wrong.
3. Excusing this abusive behavior is not a good look for you
@lcbchefperry@ThoughtfulSaint Thanks for your thoughtful answer. We believe that we are all eternal intelligences who chose to come to earth so we could experience mortality and learn to choose God. I appreciate you sharing your perspective.
@lcbchefperry@ThoughtfulSaint Why did God create people that He Himself claimed would've been good if they had not been born?:
'The Son of man goeth as it is written of him: but woe unto that man by whom the Son of man is betrayed! it had been good for that man if he had not been born."
— Matthew 26:24
@joshnaa2gez They demonstrate distinct agency in perfect, voluntary alignment with each other. The Godhead models eternal intelligences united in love, purpose, and covenant. Their oneness is chosen.
@EWErickson Christ’s unity with the Father is chosen, not a metaphysical necessity.
Morality, love, and submission require a chooser facing genuine alternatives. When Christ prays, "not my will, but thine, be done", He shows genuine agency in perfect, voluntary alignment with the Father.
@deseretistan 💯
It was humbling to have the smallest taste of what they went through. It helped me appreciate what they did. We only went 28 miles, with good food, water, and trucks to transport tents and other equipment. They carried everything with them for 1,500 miles, without complaint.
@nicoraytruth You are a strong voice for sharing the beauty of the Gospel, especially the plain and precious parts of the restoration.
The irony is, that your voice is stronger than many in the church, yet you remain outside.
Are you called to remain a voice from the outside? Why not join?
@dylanmallman It requires humility enough to wrestle with ambiguity and uncertainty. It requires consecration, devotion, and covenant.
"A religion that does not require the sacrifice of all things never has power sufficient to produce the faith necessary unto life and salvation."
