I'm not saying all terfs are the same but it's crazy how many of them are sex starved middle class over 50 year olds who are scared of anything that isn't the stereotypical 1950s white household
To give you an idea of how insane the UK’s new anti-porn law is, people are pointing out you could potentially spend years in prison for filming *yourself* giving head and the Labour MP who pushed the law responds with “well maybe you shouldn’t be giving head anyway”
@Art2Panic@GlenDivo Oh Sammy absolutely is too. You can have multiple hearts but for me it was more so her because I kinda figured he would survive her husband got killed and his puppet used to mock her and threaten their daughter. It terms of knife twisting she got it bad.
Sinners is so explicit in its anti-racist message that even the vampire is like "wanna kill a bunch of klansmen for the craic?" while the best scene in the movie is a celebration of how music brings us together across cultures
But you wanna read racial segregation as the message
The big new hero of the right-wing is a young traumatised man who gets tricked by an old boomer space wizard into doing his bidding, even killing other young people who could challenge the boomercracy on the wizard's orders. Fitting.
@JeiceTheFool@MJDMYBBY@GlenDivo If you are agreeing with a guy arguing that the film shows that non-black people and mixed people can't be trusted, and that is a good thing, which is what OP is arguing, then I think it is fair of me to assume that when you said it was a black film, you meant exclusively black
@JeiceTheFool@MJDMYBBY@GlenDivo not a problem most people share, Coogler definitely does not. And you can have multiple hearts. I mean seriously, are you going to try to pretend that most people would not list the moment with her husband as being at least in the top 3 evil things Remick does?
@JeiceTheFool@MJDMYBBY@GlenDivo And given that Alice is the only one whose young child is being threatened, I think she qualifies for consideration. Most people who aren't racist weirdos don't like it when someone's child is threatened with death. Your inability to sympathize with someone of another race is
@GlenDivo She is arguably the heart of the story her husband being puppeteered for the purpose of threatening their daughter is probably the most evil scene in the movie idea that that take is supposed to be hate and distrust everyone who isn’t black is insane.
@offbeatorbit Three, if there is something you really want to see or really want to avoid, odds are good it will be in the tags or description anyway. Obviously, speaking to the choir here, but just what????!
@offbeatorbit Forgetting the ethics of it, this just seems like robbing yourself. For one, you can usually figure out if you are interested by just reading the first chapter. And two plot beats alone are not a good guide to whether you will like a story.
