@antonosika Very curious to see what you do here. Streamlining distribution will be great, but getting attention will remain the main usp in a world where product and gtm gets more commidotised
Over the past year, one message I’ve heard repeatedly, particularly from the investor community, is that we need a green discount, not a green premium.
I understand where this is coming from. As sustainability moves from being primarily about impact to increasingly supporting and strengthening the core business, we need solutions that are better and cheaper than the alternatives to achieve broad market adoption.
That being said, the green discount is rarely achieved overnight. It typically requires significant investment to bring solutions from a green premium to a green discount.
This is where market-based climate instruments, and in particular Environmental Attribute Certificates (EACs), can play an important role. By helping companies address their Scope 3 emissions, they can contribute to reducing the green premium of emerging solutions, while creating demand that helps those solutions scale.
We’re excited to be supporting more companies in:
1) Scoping the decarbonization opportunities within their value chains through market-based instruments; and
2) Building concrete procurement strategies for these instruments — helping create demand, scale solutions, and ultimately finance the green premium.
We’re now also offering this as a standalone product.
We are delighted to share that ClimeFi has partnered with a Fortune Global 500 company to help shape & provide holistic support across the full lifecycle of its Carbon Strategy.

@eriktorenberg@cosign This is a great idea. I always found that one of the missing element from x was the ability to quickly check someone’s background and credibility on a topic (which is more present on LinkedIn, but content/ discussion on x are much better)
Excited to work closer with @WEFUpLink and the @wef on scaling the carbon markets closer to the buyers and setting the right market infrastructure to unlock more scale
We are proud to announce that ClimeFi has been selected as a Winner of the @WEFUpLink ‘Scaling Carbon Dioxide Removal: Unlocking Finance and Market Infrastructure’ challenge.
@HarryStebbings Very much agree. I remember receiving a lot of question on this when we started. It’s built over time, but almost irrelevant at the start, except from the credibility/ track record of the team to build it/ execute against a defensible product
@coffeebreak_YT I haven’t heard much people saying it’s for hype, more that’s it’s part of a coordinated strategy. And that would be a good reason for why it’s hard to get them on the record
I wonder if the fact that everyone keeps referring to the biggest companies in the world as ‘labs’ is just a habit or part of a bigger deliberate efforts to deflect responsibilities
We’ve just launched the ClimeFi CDR Price Benchmark, a quarterly series tracking offtake prices across CDR pathways and delivery vintages.
Price discovery has always been a major bottleneck in carbon markets, and with this initiative, we are working to bring more transparency to the market.
In CDR, prices can vary significantly over time, and future prices are difficult to anticipate, in particular when entering an offtake agreement. A benchmark or a credible reference price can provide a common basis for indexation and structuring future contracts, as is well known in other commodity or energy markets. At the same time, it can help developers shape commercials or forecast future revenues and give lenders and investors a reference point to underwrite those revenues today.
With this, we hope to this can help provide a useful reference point and help unlock the next layer of market infrastructure, including in contracts, financing, hedging and ultimately more transactions.
The #CDRPriceBenchmark: a new quarterly series from ClimeFi
ClimeFi’s new quarterly report serves a market benchmark for carbon dioxide removal (CDR) pricing across pathways and vintages.

@RMladek My personal framework is to not overoptimise in particular if at the expense of time or mental space.
But remaining disciplined and not buying comfort for the sake of it if it’s doesn’t increase my productivity
