@miinaus @mbctlc @bostonmarathon It's about the money - the price they are charging from the virtual race (which was a disaster last year - app didn't work) is a crime. But, what can you expect from a running club from a third-rate city?
@_JensenTaylor@bostonmarathon Agreed - I'm thinking of sending them my 2020 jacket I purchased in what was supposed to be my first Boston marathon in protest.
@MConijeski@bostonmarathon I couldn't agree more and encourage @runnersworld or other news outlets to press the BAA on this - it's way out of step with pretty much every race.
@Andreagreenfie2@McKirdyTrained@bostonmarathon I couldn't agree more - the BAA doesn't seem to care how their decisions are impacting individual runners just to maintain the traditional way they fill their field and their deferral policy.
@Andreagreenfie2@bostonmarathon The BAA is out of step with all the other major marathons (and not so major ones). They should be allowing the 2020 field to defer into the next few years. It's a disgrace to make people requalify - we are not responsible for a pandemic happening in 2020.
