This is Russia, every day. This is what many Western leaders want to do business with, to bring back into the community of civilized nations at the negotiating table or in Olympic stadiums, this level of murderous evil. No. It must be defeated or we all lose.
Corporate greed is UnitedHealth making a $5.48 billion profit last quarter (up 60% from last year), spending $33 billion in stock buybacks since 2022, paying its CEO over $60 million last year while it works to hike premiums by up to 25% next year.
Yes. We need Medicare for All.
Every step toward rebuilding Syria’s healthcare system is made possible through the generosity of those who believe in its future.
As part of MedGlobal’s Syria Recovery Initiative, Dr. Zaher Sahloul recognizes the donors whose generosity is helping restore healthcare services and expand access to quality care for patients across Syria.
To everyone who has contributed to this effort: thank you for standing with Syria’s recovery and helping rebuild hope through healthcare.

Odesa right now ‼️
Bodies on the sidewalk, fires, and shattered glass. Yet another Russian terrorist attack on the city, killing people simply for being Ukrainian and living in their own country.

It's noon in Ukraine.
In just 12 hours, russia has killed at least 8 civilians:
💔 3 in Odesa
💔 3 in Sumy
💔 1 in Donetsk region
💔 1 in Chernihiv region
People are being killed where they should be safe — on streets and in their homes.
Do not let the world look away.
I saw scleroderma today
*Mycophenolate for skin involvement
*Can sometimes use methotrexate
*Mycophenolate for the interstitial lung disease
*Cyclophosphamide for the cardiac disease
AOC: The pharmaceutical company AbbVie used this strategy with its drug Humira, which is used to treat rheumatoid arthritis. By barely changing the product, they obtained more than 130 patents that gave them continued exclusive market control over rheumatoid arthritis treatments.
During that time, the price of Humira went from $500 per syringe to nearly $3,000 per syringe, leading to a cost of about $80,000 for a one-year supply for a patient.
AOC: This is an inhaler pump. We’ve seen that AstraZeneca had this treatment where the actual medication inside did not change at all… But they filed a new patent to maintain exclusivity.
Can you guess what the great innovation was that made it worth preventing this from going generic? It’s this little plastic piece right here. One of the big features of that new patent was this thing to keep the cap from coming off.
That was a major part of the new patent they filed to extend exclusivity and prevent this life-saving drug from going generic, bringing down costs for ever

My God... Three generations of one family were killed in Russia's attack on Kyiv.
They did everything civilians are supposed to do during an air raid—they went to a shelter. Tragically, even that was not enough to save them from Russian terror.
As a result of the missile attack on Kyiv on July 6, 12-year-old Maksym Hlushchenko, his mother Anastasiia, his stepfather Oleh, and his great-grandmother Olha were killed.
On that tragic day, a Russian missile struck a residential building on Urlivska Street. The explosion destroyed the lower floors, leaving the basement shelter buried beneath thousands of tons of rubble. According to Ukraine's State Emergency Service, rescuers recovered the bodies of 11 victims from the shelter.
Another family destroyed. Another horrific chapter in Russia's bloody war against Ukraine.
Let us remember every name, every life stolen by this war. The world must never become numb to tragedies like these, because behind every number in the casualty reports are someone's children, parents, grandparents, dreams, and entire worlds that Russia continues to destroy without mercy.
Today, another Ukrainian child was murdered by russia.
A russian guided aerial bomb killed 9th-grade student Oleksandra Maretska in Kherson.
She was the heart of her class. An outstanding student. She dreamed of a peaceful future.
Just one week earlier, russia killed another student from the same lyceum, Svitlana Pieshyk, in a drone strike.
Two schoolgirls.
Two stolen futures.
One terrorist state.
How many more Ukrainian children must russia murder before the world takes action?
I already know the answer.
The world will keep looking away.
@SeeFisch Sir i have a question. Are you saying carvedilol and metoprolol are basically equal on outcomes, but you prefer the once daily one mainly for better patient adherence? Or do you see carvedilol as actually worse in some way?
russia murdered her today.
Ulyana was only 13 years old.
She was killed near a bus stop.
She wasn't a soldier.
She wasn't a threat.
She was a child.
Remember her name.
The world owes her justice.
