@CHEK_News Where are the Victoria results? The city has been posting online but nothing from Chek?? We have it on the big screen at browns and waiting for results
“For too long, policing has been treated by some as an easy target. There is a kind of fashionable cynicism that reduces police officers to a stereotype and policing itself to a problem. It is loud online, popular in certain circles, and sometimes indulged by people in positions of authority who should know better. It has manifested itself into calls to “Defund the Police”.
But most people know the truth.
When something goes wrong, they don’t call a slogan. They call 911.
They call the police.”
Thank you to @sitkamedia for publishing my commentary on supporting the men & women who step forward to stand where others will not.
B.C. is facing the inevitable fallout of an economy built not on value-added manufacturing, technology, innovation, or unshackling our resources, but primarily on real estate. The province’s economic engine has been re-geared to run on relentless mass immigration, where the core “business plan” is building and selling homes to the next wave of newcomers. This isn’t strategy — it’s a Ponzi scheme. And like every jurisdiction that’s tried it, the house of cards is now beginning to collapse.
I’m not a journalist. I’m an Alberta dad, husband, and trades worker. Over the past few days, I’ve been reading everything I can about the CSIS findings regarding Pierre Poilievre’s compromised position and lack of security clearance. Here’s what I’ve found.

@rollie_woo98456@RayBernoties This!!!!!! This is exactly right. We have had several “supportive housing” put in our neighborhood for years and that has been our biggest frustration with the city and the service providers. Once the city approves their development they have no way to hold them accountable
@Adam_Stirling I am curious how says she knows absolutely nothing about what happened or the process but on the other hand the public will understand once the process is completed and information released. How can she know the public questions will be answered if she doesn’t know anything?
@timthielmann The 11% refers to youth on probation being serviced by youth justice not to children and youth in care. The 99% minister Lore is referring to is children/youth in care. Two different things. The article is unclear.
After reading this, it became clear to me that this Councillor needs to go. The sickening privilege, tone-deafness and "I know what is good for you" attitude made me literally want to throw up. Comment: Higher pay for councillors is in the public interest https://t.co/jSuxBaYMDZ
On social media, it doesn't matter how much care you take. How specific you are. How much you qualify. How many caveats you give.
Others will simply create words and put them in your mouth, then scold you for the thing you didn't write.
Hey how about that?
It’s sort of hilarious anyone is defending the most underhanded unethical behavior we’ve seen any local government do in the last decade.
+ $1000 per month voted to themselves. And it’s *legal*. #yyj
