Subhash Chandra took eight years to grasp what I'd expressed in 2016.
I stepped down from ZEE when TV channels, particularly Times Now, ZEE, aided by ANI initiated a malicious campaign (anti-national, tukde-tukde gang) against JNU - one of the world's premier universities.

My resignation letter highlighted how the media was used as a tool to fan communalism and the government’s agenda. If Chandra had comprehended it sooner, our country's media landscape might have been better.

The credibility of journalism as a profession would not have been compromised. Faced struggles yet found no support from so-called progressive media like The Wire NDTV, then under the control of the Roys. Esteemed editors turned YouTubers remained mute spectators. I tried but in vain.

While they all praised my courage, job opportunities were not extended. The system's immorality disillusioned me to the point where I stopped seeking ethical standards.

The Caravan rescued me, restoring my confidence to continue in the profession I deeply cherish.

Then, arrived a time when I found myself embroiled in legal conflicts. Faced a defamation case worth Rs5000 crore filed by Anil Ambani, and other legal battles. Endured a year of unemployment, depleting my savings. Yet, I stood on the right side of history.

Today, I'm gratified that Chandra understands why a free press is vital for democracy not just to survive, but to flourish.
