While cameras focused on celebrities at the Met Gala, hundreds of artisans in the southern Indian state were watching something else: the carpet they had made with their own hands. #metgala2026

Stone Age?
At a time when you were still in caves searching for fire, we were inscribing human rights on the Cyrus Cylinder.
We endured the storm of Alexander and the Mongol invasions and remained; because Iran is not just a country, it is a civilization.
I don't think people understand the gravity of the situation as the UN is preparing for possible nuclear weapon use in Iran.
This is a picture of Tehran. For you uneducated, untraveled, never-served, warhawks licking your chops at the thought of bombing it. It's not some low population desert. There are families, children, family pets. Regular working class people with dreams. You're sick to want war.
Tehran is a city of nearly 10,000,000 people. Imagine nuking Washington, Berlin, Paris, London, or beyond, bombed with nuclear weapons.
I gave up my diplomatic career to leak this information. I suspended my duties so as not to be part of or a witness to this crime against humanity, in an attempt to prevent a nuclear winter before it is too late.
Yesterday, nearly ten million people protested “No Kings” in the United States. The possibility of the use of nuclear weapons must be taken very seriously. It's dangerous. Act now. Spread this message worldwide. Take the streets. Protest for our humanity and future. Only the people can stop it. History will remember us.
What’s happening to little children in Gaza is heartbreaking.
It should put humanity to shame. Children are being made to bear the burden of violence and hate that insane adults have unleashed upon them.
Meanwhile, the world has turned a blind eye.
This is a building in Iran university of science and technology (IUST) that was targeted today in Tehran. This university -one of the leading engineering universities of Iran- is where I got my BSc and MSc degree in engineering years ago.
This aggression is all about Iran gaining power via science. You can not stop this nation. The war will boost Iranian science and technology.
To this day, Reza Pahlavi and his associates have yet to condemn the US strike on the school in Minab that killed 168 Iranian schoolchildren. It has been 4 weeks of silence now. These are the people who claim they’ll be bringing democracy to Iran.
Managed to film at the Shahran oil depot in Western Tehran that was targeted by airstrikes last night. The oil still seems to be burning. We saw flames coming from some of the destroyed oil storage tanks. Also destroyed tanker trucks outside the gate. Sorry for audio issues, was windy @CNN@cnni@claudiaotto
Lets be clear....
If a primary school in Tel Aviv was bombed and 160 little girls were killed, the BBC, CNN and all other news broadcasters would be covering it wall to wall, 24/7 and we would know every one of their names.
Some children matter more than others apparently...
#BREAKING
Image of burial of martyred students in Minab— parents bury 168 elementary schoolgirls killed in Israeli-US airstrikes.
Some of these pure martyr bodies could not be identified by conventional methods due to the severity of the explosion and require DNA testing.
UPDATE: Number of people killed in a strike on an elementary school in southern Iran has risen to 85, according to the semi-official Tasnim news agency

After destroying 94% of Gaza’s hospitals, Israel’s fascist foreign minister is whining about a hospital that treats his army’s soldiers getting hit in a blast wave from an adjacent military facility that was targeted
These genocidal crybullies deserve nothing but contempt
Indian military with three DGMOs (Army, Air Force & Navy) held media briefing today in Delhi on May 12 at 2.30pm.
It can be summed up as HUGELY DISAPPOINTING. Worse, it betrayed a sense of own war appreciation gone wrong. Consider the following:
1. DG Air AM A.K. Bharti repeatedly said that our fight (Operation Sindoor) was against terrorists & their infrastructure. Not against Pakistan Military.
Now, commonsense is that when IAF hits anything inside Pakistan & POK, retaliation would come from Pakistan military for breaching their nation's sovereignty. By his utterance, Bharti gave sense that IAF was operationally surprised on night 6/7 - which was shocking. Did IAF not expect the PAF to be waiting to hit back immediately?
2. When asked to comment on PAF saying in its media briefing that it executed its 'new art of war (Multi Domain Operation)' & also giving out details of fighter's participation & air war from both sides on 6/7 night, Bharti said 'we cannot share details of aircraft by both sides. It has technical details.' Well, Bharti should know that the world has been waiting for India's military assessment of 6/7 night air warfare: number of aircraft & kills. Not doing this gave credence to PAF version - which amounted to their big win in the air domain.
3. Now, no one is interested to know what Integrated Air Defense layered networked was put in place by the Indian military. Too much time was wasted in explaining Indian military's potent air defense - which left one wondering if some big hits on Indian side by Pakistan Army & air force were being hidden. For sure, it was clear that Pakistan military employed unexpectedly large numbers of drones, loitering munitions & so on along the whole border with India.
4. On asked whether IAF hit Pakistan's Kirana Hills which supposedly has Pakistan's underground nuclear storage facilities, Bharti confirmed that IAF did not hit there.
To sum-up: NO mention of air war on night 6/7. And making the incredible remark that IAF hits inside Pakistan sovereign space were meant to kill terrorists & not fight Pakistan military - showed little thought had gone even in organizing this media interaction whose proceeding the world would have watched with utter disbelief!
