Not being cute, this is the darkest vision for America I’ve ever read. No sleepovers, no saturday morning cartoons. No joy. Nothing to look forward to but endless grinding competition. Life itself sacrificed. In its place, “success.”
Periodic reminder that black people (the entire race) are collectively poor. We do not hold that much wealth. We should come to terms with that, not be in denial of it. There should be solidarity in that, not status games to distinguish oneself from the collective reality.
