Maxwell’s demon was on holiday, just catching up on recent updates… until it thought, ‘Hmmm, I should write a tutorial!'
Very happy to share "a friendly guide to exorcising Maxwell's demon" (https://t.co/sWUIIswyk5).

How can physics define universal laws for computation, from cells and chips to brains? In this @PNASNews Perspective, led by @sfiscience David Wolpert and @CSHVienna Jan Korbel, they suggest how Stochastic Thermodynamics can provide the proper framework https://t.co/UAydigUgD6
⚠️ Big news! ⚠️ So excited to share that our article just been published @NatureComms! 🥳 How does multifunctionality shape ecosystems? We propose and validate a framework that integrates various types of biotic interactions! 🌱🦋🍄 check it out here:

My first paper is out!🤩
I’m so lucky to have been part of this, wht an amazing learning experience! Thanks and congrats to all authors, especially Sandra and my PhD supervisors (Lucas @wetuad and Víctor Eguíluz), your knowledge and guidance were key!
Cant wait for yr feedback!
In case anyone is interested, my PhD thesis "Aging and memory effects in social and economic dynamics" is now available!! 😊 And if anyone has any questions or doubts about it, just let me know, I am open for discussion.

La sesión se puso algo tétrica con José Antonio Almanza que practicó un exorcismo (al demonio de Maxwell) sobre el escenario. Y ya de paso explicó qué serie es El autobús mágico 🚍😈.
Super proud of @MiguelAGonzC and Thomas Eisermann for presenting at @CompleNet our joint works 💪🏼
And another shameless advertisement to our @FRIENDS_signet satellite at @ConfCompSys ! Please visit our page and manifest your interest by filling the available form :)
Tutorial: A pedagogical overview of analytical and numerical techniques used to characterize current fluctuations in Markovian systems is presented, helping to bridge knowledge between condensed-matter physics and quantum optics. @SNIunibas

📸 Many thanks to all IFISC PhD students for participating in the XI Poster Party last Friday! 🥳
We learned a lot about the latest research being done at our institute and, most importantly... we had a great time!
If you perturb the transition rates of an edge in a Markov chain, currents respond nonlinearly, and this nonlinearity has been an important object in stat mech for the past 30 years or so.
But what happens if we plot any two perturbed currents against each other?
In many discussions throughout the last year or so, I got asked similar questions regarding the last PRX on transition-based thermo., in particular about the "unifilar" assumption.
It sparked my very first single-author contribution!
