We were VERY excited to get our classroom Christmas tree up today! 🎄 I was lucky to have so many helpful friends give me a hand. Tomorrow we decorate! Stay tuned for the big reveal!

One of our new heart ❤️ words this week is “because”. The Super Stars group wrote a sentence in their journals using this new ❤️ word. We chatted about how it can turn a “boring-snoring” sentence into a much more interesting one!

The Master Mind group has been working hard at writing sentences with decodable words! Remembering to add finger spaces, only having lower case letters within their words, adding punctuation pals at the end AND using the sounding out strategy! Fantastic!🤩

Grade 1’s have been doing such a great job with remembering the spelling rules of /tch/! ❤️

Thank you to parent council for the yummy hot chocolate ☕️ we all enjoyed before heading out for the Jingle Bell Walk! Holiday music was playing, hearts were joyful… all that was missing was some snow ❄️!

Then we had some fun writing our own letters to Farmer Brown making with some requests. We had a good laugh signing our names as a cow 🐮

We started our Friendly Letter writing today! Starting with reading the 📕 Click, Clack, Moo, Cows That Type! We discussed what parts make up a letter while singing “The Friendly Letter Song” 🎶

This week’s Shared Reading poem with the heart word ❤️ “you”. The Super Star Guided Group wrote in their journals about what they wish they would find under a rainbow 🌈.
